On the sale of the painting the buyer fills out both forms, one for themselves and one for the artist to keep for their own records.
COPYRIGHT
Buyers are respectfully reminded that the copyright of works of art remains the property of the artist in accordance with the Copyright Act 1965.
Copyright is not sold with the work.
Reproduction rights must be negotiated separately with the artist. It is illegal to reproduce a work of art in any form or manner whatsoever, without a written and signed agreement with the artist. The artist retains the right to reproduce the work in any context.
